Founded by Jelske Peterson and Jarah Stoop, the Amsterdam-based label Peterson Stoop
has pioneered a new approach to sustainable footwear production. By resoling second-hand sneakers with cork and leather, they extend their lifecycle and avoid waste. They are working towards a model where the designer is also a service provider, soling and resoling their clients’ sneakers for life. A radical shift in the role we traditionally attribute to the designer.
